Our Family Centres in Kilbarrack and Santry are specialist Assessment teams who only accept referrals from TUSLA Child and Family Agency Social Work Department.
Our staff undertake Initial Assessments with families as part of the Differential Response Model (DRM), on behalf of TUSLA Social Work Department.
The DRM model of work is a strengths based approach and addresses the concerns as to why a family/child have been referred to TUSLA while identifying safety’s and strengths within the family.
The DoCCFS work in partnership with parents and TUSLA in carrying out an Assessment and identifying supports for families. Families may be referred to our Family Centres for support or to other organisations if deemed appropriate with the consent of the family.
As a professional organisation we work under best practice guidelines and legislation which strives to protect the rights and welfare of children.
