Are you looking to work with a skilled and experienced team in a dynamic and challenging environment? Mabuhay Family Centre is seeking applications for the position of Family Worker (Fixed Term Contract) to join our dedicated and professional organisation.
About Us: Mabuhay Family Centre is part of the Daughters of Charity Child and Family Service (DoCCFS), a not-for-profit public service organisation. We provide a range of therapeutic and supportive services to children and families in the greater Dublin region. We collaborate closely with TUSLA Child and Family Agency across various areas, including Dublin North and North City, East, and Dublin Mid Leinster.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assessment and Program Implementation: Assess the needs and welfare of families and individual family members. Implement effective programs to address those needs, working towards the self-reliance of families in meeting their own needs.
• Case Management: Carry an appropriate caseload as assigned by the Centre Manager. Ensure timely completion of case notes, session recordings, and reports for review meetings, case conferences, and courts.
• Collaboration: Co-work on cases when necessary and liaise with other agencies as directed by the Centre Manager. Organise and participate in referral meetings, reviews, and case conferences.
• Centre Development: Contribute to the development of the Centre by providing workshops, training, and presentations. Perform household duties to facilitate the smooth running of the Centre, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
• Team Participation: Actively participate in team meetings, team development, and appraisals. Engage in supervision sessions as directed and provide statistical data as required.
• Health & Safety: Share responsibility for Health & Safety at the Centre and participate in all necessary training to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the Centre.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Participate in the regular review of cases and constructively contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of services provided.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Degree level education in a relevant discipline is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience providing therapeutic support to families, ideally with children aged 4-18 years.
• Additional qualifications in therapeutic supports are advantageous.
• Experience in using file-keeping software (e.g., Salesforce) and evaluating outcomes of work will be a distinct advantage.
• A full, valid driving license is required.
